I got interested in the wording of my RPF disclaimers, as I tried to figure out the best one to use.
( There's a few here, so I'm cutting for length. )
All of these are pretty silly, because I don't know exactly what disclaimers are meant to do. Besides, I like the ones that offend people's delicate sensibilities.
But the basic idea remains in all of them. It's strange that people should have to be reminded that stories aren't real. Makes me want to link to an Encyclopedia Dramatica article and say "my story is as factual as this".
That, or Rickroll them.

http://www.conchords.net/2008/03/14/conchords-naked-in-maxim You know, the moment they stop being modest and down-to-earth is the moment I'll stop liking them. It's a patriotism thing, a Tall Poppy thing, and it'll just be sad if they develop egos. They are the biggest modest dorks.
Um, Weird Al does some fucking excellent style parodies, you asshole. So do these guys. The difference is in the lyrics, I guess, but Pancreas is way better than Bowie as a parody of one particular artist.
And Jemaine's just cool. He's got this 'boy from down the road' quality. Plus glasses, which are just an awesome accessory.
I just put up Your Horoscope For Today as my journal and friends page title. I am Lord of the Dance, y'all.
*shrug* It's not as if other horoscopes make any sense. 'Sides, it amuses me, considering I watched SYTYCD Aussie last night.
(They need more props, more synchronicity, better music. Oh, and more tackiness for the ballroom stuff. It's Australian ballroom dancing, and therefore should be fun and cheesy as all hell. I think that's the sole reason I started watching these things.)

Okay, I should not be slashing these two guys. I should not, but I cannot help it. RPS crossover with an interesting angle.
Besides, it appeals to me on a formative level. There are stories that could be written about such things that rarely are. As I just read: "It's so freaking meta."
Even just gen stories, because the image is just too lovely.

Don't you just love this stage, where you're trying to find your way around a new place?
I haven't even added any interests yet. Mind you, there's obviously a fuckup happening there.
This newfangled thing won't block out the word 'fuck', will it?
Don't mind me. It's 9:12 at night here.
